Not really a surprise, but Sweden joins Finland in seeking NATO membership. It'll be interesting to see if they can placate Turkey's Erdogan, who has come out in opposition.

@Coctaanatis I simply do not understand how the US can belong to any org that allows this. We learned our lesson with the articles of confederation and yet, here we are.
@Mystic55 Not that the US is immune from including stupid policies in treaties (hence the current baby formula shortage) but NATO grew out of a pact between France and the UK that eventually included the Benelux countries. The North Atlanta Treaty, forming NATO, was primarily drafted by a Canadian, Lester Pearson.
