Our justice system isn't based on justice, safety, the public good, or reformation and redemption.

It is based on punishment, pain, and degradation.

@AskTheDevil @CinnamonGirlE IMO she deserves punishment. Does she leave the car keys by his bedside too in case he wants to go Xmas shopping? Some people are just not good parents, not smart enough for the gig.

@MidnightRider @CinnamonGirlE Don't get me wrong. I think they're an asshole for even keeping a gun in the house, with a violent and troubled child, so that kid was able to harm others. I do think they should face prison for that.

But come on, guys. We need to add dope charges, too? If I had a kid like that, I'd take be tempted to take fucking drugs, too, probably.

My thinking is similar. You have a child, a life you brought here. You are now responsible for said life until child is of age. But marijuana charges?
Marijuana should be legalized. Full stop. No one is forced to use it. But liquor stores on every corner and big pharma rules the day? That is a crime. IMO
When caring for patients the last two mentioned made far more trouble than people wanting to partake

After driving this week and paying particular attention to people on their phones, I have decided they are more of a hazard than drunk drivers. At least drunk drivers are TRYING to pay attention and drive correctly.
