I am not sure how long it will take, but if democracy can survive, if higher education can continue, if decent folks can survive, then there will be much research done on how half our nation was brainwashed. About how the experiment called America was almost extinguished. And how hopefully, enough Americans who wanted to continue to strive to live where "all . . . are created equal". .

@CinnamonGirlE Hmmm...well, it's a little late. I love the hopefulness but democracy is only available to the few, higher education has become a sham, decent folks are fewer by the day and well over half the nation is brainwashed. Equality lies in how it's everyone's fault, those contributing to the downfall AND those complacent in the joirney to oblivion.
There's a lot of work to be done, a lot of waking up to do and loads of accountability to be taken.
@FannyAdamsGhost Accountability has to be absolute. Whether or not it is taken freely or it must be forced upon the party legally. Sadly, that is sometimes the only way, as we cannot legislate peoples hearts. And while democracy is far from what we want it to be, it is better than what there is without it. I don't want to live in a theocracy or oligarchy. We have to preserve what is left, and push it to become what we want. Complacency will never work.
