Don't. Compost them to improve your soil and provide habitat for the smallest creatures. Shredded or partially rotted leaves make great mulch to retain moisture, too.

Yes! We have many trees on our property (mostly firs) so we have a chipper that we use for branches that fall. We drop in maple leaves when they're dry and add them to the mix. Great to return nutrients back to the soil! Bigger woodchips line paths. Deer love it as bedding, too!

@CindyMc @San_Ban I wish it was that easy where we live. In the middle of a housing estate the deer are very few and far between 😞 . I wish I could say different. You are very lucky by the sounds of it
