A fundamental problem with this tweet is it fails to recognize that the House and the Senate do very different things. The House controls the purse strings. They can defund any program they don't like. The Senate confirms judges. Bad judges, corrupt judges, give us no recourse when bad things happen. So no, splitting the branches between parties can do more damage than good in times like we have now where corruption and democracy and individual rights are on the line.
