The worst thing that happened to YouTube, was the how everything became Television.
The whole selling point of YT was that the content was user centric. These were every day people making fun content nothing like you'd see on boring ass TV. It was anti TV
Along the way though, YT got budgets and the production quality went up and to the point that so much of the platform is what so many of us were escaping from: crap TV. With Ublock being blocked, it even worse with nonsense ads.
