Noting that many folks, especially (white?) Gen Xers, have a real reverence for the movie Grease, which I’d never seen, I watched it today on IFC.
I remain unimpressed. Sorry. 🤔😉😊
@jeffm23 from a film criticism standpoint, it’s a Gen x movie made by Gen X to explain Gen X, but all of the US watched that, Friday, and Kids within a couple years of it coming out as part of the Mallrats media push. I think Clerks has had it’s Chuck Klosterman-9/11-something-that-explains-everything-before-the-thing-that-explains-it moment
@Chriskorvela Maybe. Clerks was pretty fresh, cinema-wise. I did become a big Jay & Silent Bob fan, especially Dogma, which, interestingly enough, is very difficult to find on home video, streaming, etc. 🤔😉😊
