Imagine you've been part of a very passion-laden argument for days, and that you're part of a group of people who are less represented here on the site.
You've worked hard to be diplomatic (which is exhausting) and to help folks understand better (more exhausting). On top of that, since you needed a break, you have backed up messages that you're also responding to.
Now you're being asked point blank and publicly to explain how to fix it so that it doesn't happen again.
Imagine that.

Our oasis here is just a small sampling of the world at large.
I think this all represents a few things that are truly wrong with our society in general. So many are overwhelmed and no one really knows how to fix it (and so many other things) .. but moreover, our elected leaders are failing us.
I do believe one person can effect change, but change sometimes happens too slowly for comfort.. or for safety!
We each need to practice listening, grace, acceptance, and compassion.
