I can't help but catch my breath following each mass shooting at the Go Fund Me campaigns started to help so many families with medical costs, burial fees, and money needed to stay afloat, by necessity as much as through compassion.

Every person murdered, every family left to go on.. they are all of us.

I know few people with the financial means to adequately cope after the shocking loss of a loved one. Many do not have life insurance or adequate savings.

We are a cash poor society.
