A bit of fun:

Are there words or phrases which you do not use but enjoy it when others do?

e.g.

For me it's "fix" in the context of fix a meal or fix a drink. I never use the word in that context but there's something homely and welcoming about it when I hear or read somebody else saying it.

What about you?

@stueytheround Y'all. I don't use it but my youngest is the only member of our family born in the South. She has a cute, if mild, southern accent and "y'all" pops out from time to time. It's glaringly obvious because I say "you guys" or "you guyses" like any self-respecting New Yorker. 😂

@ChippySuave @stueytheround
WNY bred. And used to say you guys...
And still do from time to time...
But y'all just makes things easier...
Used to drive my children nuts...
Until they started... 😊😉

A former NC boss I had would say “got gone” or “went missing” when something mysteriously
disappeared
