As a general rule of democracy: Vote for people who will work to ensure the poor have the same rights, liberty, and justice before the law as the wealthy.
Corollary: A rising tide lifts all boats. Which is good news for those who can afford a seat on the boat. No so great if you're treading water.
I've been dealing with some stressful shit lately, so I took a little hiatus from social media.

I love where I live, don't get me wrong - but hearing that a significant number of my neighbors have dengue makes me want to hide inside until the 37th of Never.
My Christmas, while a far cry from the traditions of my first fifty-plus years, was warm and delightful. Tasty things were consumed, football was watched, and I didn't miss snow or cold even a little bit.
Merry Christmas, Joyous Solstice, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Yule - whatever winter holiday you love, I hope you get to wallow in it.

As I continue to recover from Covid, I find that in addition to being perpetually exhausted, I'm also pissed off.
I tried so hard not to get this crap. It shouldn't have been this difficult. I am furious, collectively and individually, with the vaccine-denying mask-rejecting science-ignoring mouth-breathing assholes whose actions extended this pandemic.
Three fucking YEARS I hid away and dodged this virus. I'm angry. And I'm too goddamn tired to be this angry.
