Loyalty and investment start at the top.
You can't lead effectively by telling--you have to lead people by showing. You have to step off the pedestal, show your willingness to do the work, and learn from and with your people.
Leaders who withhold themselves from the work of their employees can have power, but no loyalty or respect.
Feeling this today at work, but recognizing that it manifests in other places as well.
Good leaders get it.
@Minholkin I recently accepted a GM position, which is why I'm not here or anywhere much. Voluntary 15 hour shift yesterday. If you don't, yes that lack of loyalty and respect will cause you more surprises and extra work in the future. Gotta dive in deep
