I guess its the latest rethuglikkkan culture war - crt of the financial section if you will
for those curious - thugs are trying to legislate against municipalities, public funds (this includes teacher pension funds, civil service etc) investing in companies rated as ESG (Environmental, social and governance- basically good corporate citizens) saying it restricts the financial market place

so far it has cost states who have passed these laws BILLIONS in costs and lost revenues.
fundamentally, they are forcing funds to invest in their corrupt, planet killing, oligarch corporate buddys
and the RW is so stupid, they think these policies are good for them financially
this is just one end result of destroying public education, and imprinting generational hate politics
so if your pension manager sends you a notice about proposed anti esg laws in your state - pay attention
