for those saying the rethuglikkkans will eventually pass the debt ceiling, you have forgotten 2 essentials facts
1) they are happy to burn the nation to the ground
2) they are gerrymandered to the point they don't have to answer to their voters - only their money masters
and if the money masters decide that the only way to take control back from the people is to crash the economy, they will without hesitation
