Heads up: The latest Microsoft Windows 11 update reinstalled Copilot and OneDrive and who knows what else. I used Revo Uninstaller to promptly get rid of them.
@CanisPundit
Thanks for the heads up! Remember when all Patch Tuesday did was crash your computer? Ah, the good old days!
@CanisPundit Wondering how badly I could screw up my computer if I've never used this before....
@BillieBun you have the option of creating a restore point with each uninstall selection.
@CanisPundit Oh, ok. Been a long time since I've played with any programs, but I'm getting tired of the internet gods forcing stuff onto my computer.
@BillieBun @CanisPundit
I just found out my printer driver is "unavailable". I don't print much, but pissed. It's there. Won't let me reload. Have to plan a day in town to figure out.
@LindaWisner @CanisPundit is that one of those deals where you have to have the printer connected to a pc or laptop with internet access?
You can prevent a lot of this kinda shitty Microsoft behavior by changing some settings in Microsoft Store. There's a Powershell script on Github, too, that'll strip out all that crap.
@countZZero Revo Uninstaller accesses the Powershell/uninstall for the MS applications. If you know the Store settings please post and cc me.
@CanisPundit thanks for the tip, I always turn all that crap off. I run as a local account on my desktop.
