This is not intended to be dismissive of a potentially historic moment. Anyone else almost oblivious to Harris' race & gender in terms of becoming president? Maybe it's her opponent and the crisis at hand, but she is clearly the best presidential candidate of any party this year. The history making is in the preserving and protecting our democracy from falling. And maybe, just maybe regaining lost progress while making additional progress.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. When I listen to her speeches and interviews, I'm hearing someone who is truly presidential in how she handles herself and answers questions. I voted for her because she IS the best choice in this election. It'll be amazing to have a woman of color as president (glass ceiling BROKEN) but she really is a good candidate above all else.
@CanisPundit AFAIC, race & gender have nothing to do with quals for POTUS. So long as the candidates are reasonably competent and follow the law, that's all that matters. Anything beyond that is on them and their administration. For that, history will judge.
@CanisPundit This may sound ignorant but Trump is just mad because he can't harangue her about her citizenship like he did Obama. When he released his official birth certificate, Orange Hulk looked like an jackass but instead of letting it go, he kept denying it, saying he knew Obama was illegal everyone was lying. And yet, Harris released her medical reports but Trump won't because he knows it makes him look unfit.
