Have seen Declan twice.
Once solo in ‘13 NoHo MA (he played keys and guitar) and then the next time the weekend before the ‘16 election (Hamden, CT). Was a fantastic show — the set list longer and better than the NYC gig the night after.
But I wish I’d seen this gig with Toussaint —

Someone in the band came into rehearsal talking about some songs from some new LP by some guy named Elvis Costello... After a listen I thought it's just some angry bullshit.. But we learned a couple and I was proved completely wrong... It's some brilliant songwriting.
