@Bix I’ll say partial “finding out” mode. I don’t think Putin really cares if Ukraine and Russia stay in stalemate for years. His empire/nationalist delusions are sincere to him and he faces no apparent blowback consequences. It will take a coup. And there’s no guarantee that a coup means a withdrawal from Ukraine. It’s up to the alliance of military and oligarchs and what they want.
