After my last cycling injury, I am reconsidering my road #EBiking. I still have my stationary bike--now moved into my workout room (the basement).
My wife says she is worried about me and she has a few good concrete reasons.
Her probing me on my last accident led me to conclude that it was a natural incident likely to happen again,
Statistically, it's not that my age group has MORE cycling accidents, only that they are more injurious. I experienced this painfully for WEEKS.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN I highly recommend recumbent trikes. The image is the same model I have, but pulled off a trike site. The gear ratio and third wheel means you’ll have to work harder to keep up with mountain bikes let alone road bikes. This configuration is very comfortable. The only time I had an accident with it was from taking a turn too sharp. And the unexpected experience with it is it being fun to ride.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN at that price point you could get a recumbent for Mrs. SAM too or some amazingly lightweight recumbent for yourself. I discovered last Summer it can fit in the back of an Lexus RX; I had a flat not far from home and had my kid pick me up.
