A Congressional hearing to honor a treaty obligation to seat a U.S. House Delegate from the Cherokee Nation.
I absolutely support seating delegates to US House representing tribal lands in the US. It is the least we could do to make up for historical acts of genocide and betrayal.
New Zealand goes even farther with full MP’s representing indigenous Maori districts.
While we are at it, we should already have #dcstatehood
