@LiseL well the OQLF is pretty chill about it. The French government, on the other hand...
@LiseL basically the French are all "OMG OMG LES WOKES". and the OQLF are like "look, we don't give a shit, as long as it's not english". A rare time that the OQLF are helpful.
@Camerondotca 😂 That's an excellent summary, I must say, although as a Franco-Ontarian, I do have a lot of sympathy for efforts to keep the language alive.
@LiseL I’m totally for 101. And the way you make a language survive is more OQLF approach. The French are just… I have no idea what’s wrong with them.
@Camerondotca An analysis of "la peur des wokes" there, or elsewhere else for that matter, is probably above my pay grade. Frustrating as all get out.
