@CJsCorner just looked at your bio, some of that needs context: clsc are community health clinics run by the government. They do some things amazingly well. But years ago they were meant to function as first contact if you were sick and couldn’t get to family doc. You could also have your family doc there. Then a government started fiddling with them and that part of the their service died.

@CJsCorner also Montreal (where all those hospitals are) is the biggest city and, because there used to be an issue with less docs in the rural/smaller urban areas, successive governments sent docs out there without pre planning for retirements etc here. So you’ve got a ton of montréalais with no access to a family doc.
