@Visitkarte I just asked a similar question. I don't think there is a day mode.
@FernLovebond @Cadence @okika_hilo @Jule_B @angsaysroar @MrGoat it’s weird because I think there was one update with a day mode but it went away with the next one. I might mistake it for another one, I am on every alternative social media to stay in touch with friends.

FWIW, I've never seen CoSo show a "day mode" at all. I've always had to alter it myself. But that's only daily since April or so, and I'm no authority.
@FernLovebond @Visitkarte @Cadence @okika_hilo @Jule_B @MrGoat What platform are y'all trying to make the change in?
My light theme is made using Stylus for Brave browser, but it'll apply to any Chromium-based browser or Firefox w/ the same extension, & the CSS itself should work in any custom CSS extension /plugin you may have (e.g. Tamperish for Safari should work the same, I think).
Your OS is largely irrelevant, as most of that stuff is cross-platform, and CSS is almost universal for any browser.
Apps & mobile browsers don't offer this.

There's no in-built light mode for CoSo. The help suggests the Dark Reader extension, as @MrGoat has pinned to his column.
That's fine, but I had an issue w/ it because it washes out the status faves/boosts icons so I can't tell if I've used them or not, so I developed an inverter theme for #Stylus that converts CoSo's default charcoal bluish-gray to a soft beige #LightTheme. Hope it helps.
