A little about myself.

I landed on the bird site back in February of 2019.That was the first place I shared myself, the woman that I am and have always been. I didn't always know that about myself.

My egg cracked for the final time that February so leaving the aforementioned bird site was tough.

You would think that as an #author I would have shared my work all my life, but it was sporadic. The level of access to readers that social media provides is a big deal.

It is all connected.

I have some great and unexpected news; I have a new income stream! That means that, at least until I settle into a rhythm with it, I might not be able to write a weekly post every Friday as it will leave me with a lot less free time. What I am considering doing is nesting my TikTok videos here. That way I will still release content, hopefully weekly, but I can’t promise it.

Living Lily: Some 30 Days

Sometime in March of 2022,

It arrived. That first vital piece of paperwork.

I can hardly believe it, of course reality kicks in with the realization that in typical Quebec bureaucracy, I won’t be legally me for some thirty odd days, it’s an indeterminant amount due in large part to the aforementioned red tape. Still, nothing can diminish the fact that in some 30 days, fully completely me.

Another step completed. I went to the bank today and had them update my information. The teller was genuinely nice and was quick to switch to the correct pronouns and even used my middle name. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Thank you to everyone for all your support and encouragement, it was really lovely of everyone.

In celebration tonight my partner and I went and picked up burritos and a bottle of wine. I had ny cannabis oil when I got home, dinner was so satisfying and finishing my glass of wine.

This is what having your identity being affirmed feels like, it's bliss to have this major stage in the rearview.
