@Boyceaz oh, i had a 25 yr old macallan (before they got rid of the aged cask labelling). it was soooo smooth. took me a decade to finish it.
i'm not familiar w/ springbank & i just looked it up. it is a peaty one altho maybe softer than a lagavulin or laphroaig. that may be why i haven't bothered.
a nice sipping scotch that is about as peaty as i go (& it's almost not there) is an oban 18 yr old.
