Remember that scene in that book or movie where the protagonist sees that there is desperate trouble, and keeps expecting the cavalry to ride in, or the alliance to attack, or a deus to ex machina? And then they have the sudden insight that that it's time for them and their ragtag bunch of friends to risk all and do the thing themselves?
That's were we are. The media ain't coming, the party can't do it, there is no deus. It's up to us now. WE have to take action against impossible odds!
