You can't negotiate with terrorists, and you ought to know better. Tuberville might as well be a Russian operative, he has crippled the command and control of our military more thoroughly than Putin ever could. And again, as you have to date with the filibuster, your concern is for "tradition" and maintaining Senate minority "protections".

In this case you are siding with an anti-American catspaw, and proclaiming his sinister work against our military to be based in his sincerely held religious beliefs (taking him at face-value, with not an iota of critical thought). You are suggesting that if only the Biden Administration would give in to his demands we could go back to business as usual.

I write you today to insist that you change your approach. It is time for you to lead the charge against Tuberville; make it clear to your constituents, the American people, and the World that he is a force for ill, and cannot be condoned. This has gone on long enough, use your influence to change Senate rules to prevent any single Senator from holding the military hostage ever again.

Put the coach in the crucible of public opinion and make him regret the day he sided with Russia over America. Do not give him any aid or comfort in this unpatriotic pursuit.
If you can't back America over our enemies, you ought not be in the Senate either. Alter your course or resign.

The problem there is that any other Senator, seeing this as an effective strategy can do the same, picking up where "Coach" leaves off, and be rewarded politically for making us all less safe. It cannot be allowed.
