My 21 year old son is very new to living alone. Tonight he called me up and asked me for a recipe he could use his chorizo in. "What other ingredients do you have?"
21: "I don't know"
"Do you have tortillas?"
21: "No"
"Do you have eggs?"
21: "No"
...
"Okay, I'll be over in a half hour with everything you need to make chorizo breakfast tacos."
And that's what I did. Gonna have to work on meal planning with that kid. :)
@Boyceaz has he been put into a cooking for newbies class?
@Horrrflmlvr This kid could caramelize an onion at 4. Very competent in the kitchen. Planning and shopping not so much. :) Maybe there are classes for that, though. I'll look.
@LnzyHou @Horrrflmlvr I hear you and he has some specialized challenges, not the least of which is that he was just diagnosed with epilepsy and can't drive.
@Horrrflmlvr @LnzyHou He does Uber, but really doesn't make enough to do that very often. We made the decision to family our way through this, so I take him to work at 4AM every morning. He gets re-evaluated in February.
@Horrrflmlvr He's on new meds. Neurologist is hopeful.
@Boyceaz @LnzyHou oh my, can he get to appointments with help?
he may have to use bus, have someone drive him, or a taxi.
