Hey peeps, help me with this: with Matt Gaetz not taking the oath for the incoming Congress, there's going to be a special election, right? Is that within the GOP or are the Democrats in play to take his seat?

@Liliki Both parties may field a candidate. I believe DeSantis must set a date for an election to fill the seat, leaving Gaetz's seat in the House open till after the special election.
