Mexico has a rich and varied culture. I'm going to start posting info about this in the hopes of countering the idea that it's a backwards country full of wanna-be emigrants.

@Bliss I'll post about writers, artists, and musicians, too! Yes, ignorance and lack of experience can lead to some very inaccurate ideas.
I lived in Mexico (D.F.) for about a year and traveled around the country. Really wonderful place and wonderful people.

I lived en el Distrito in 1980 for a year abroad at college and loved it. kept going back to different parts till parenting duties with little ones made it difficult to travel. looking forward to reading your posts
