Kroger CEO in a recording bragged of price gouging prices of eggs, milk and other products way higher above inflation.

They were and are suing the FTA in court saying they're entitled to do that.
The only surprise is that he admitted it, not that his company (and all the rest of the major grocery chains) was doing it.
@Bliss The sad thing is their prices were actually good compared to what I’m used to seeing where I live. Not a lot of krogers in rural areas here, but other chains? Oh yeah, they *love* being the only game in their immediate area.
That's the reason the Federal Trade Commission is preventing Kroger from merging with Albertson's - both price gouged and increased prices upto 375% above cost driving prices higher and coordinated to do so.
In many areas they are the only option for many miles.
@Bliss I mean maybe they should be fined? lol. Solves that problem.
