Nebula NGC 6188, is home to the glowing clouds, found about 4,000 light years away near the edge of a large molecular cloud.
Unseen at visible wavelengths, this nebula is located in the southern constellation Ara (the Altar). This image spans over 2 degrees corresponding to an estimated 150 light years of distance.
