Sotomayor: What is plausible... the president creating a fraudulent slate of electoral candidates? Is that plausible... that would be within his right to do?
Sauer: Absolutely
I'd like to hear if Sauer thinks it legitimate for a President to have all the actual electors' certificates stolen, shredded, and replaced with counterfeit ones.
His client has sort of obligated him to take the position of "He could shoot up a bus full of kindergarteners and nuns, and no one could prosecute him for it", but I consider it doubtful the court would go along with such a view in the end.

They should have asked. I'm pretty sure he didn't actually help his case with any of that stuff.
