Lawrence O'Donnel has a totally different perspective on SCOTUS' decision than we all do and it's worth listening to. He starts talking at the 4min mark.
@Ellico2020bis
Here are the highlights:
-Ppl are pissed & will definitely vote
-SCOTUS denied 🤡 request for a stay while he went back to Court of Appeals
-SCOTUS grants Jack Smiths request for them to hear case but not in expedited manner
-SCOTUS will hear the case while a NY Jury will be deliberating on Trump's stormy daniels /election interference /bank fraud case, where he will get convicted.
Prediction: Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada will be emboldened to charge 🤡 in Fake Elector Scheme
@Bliss Oh, yeah, I knew what was going on, I just didn't want to hear any other person on that panel than Lawrence. I am so tired of the anxiety I've felt since 1/6.
@Bliss @n8evans @Bix @InUnfunky
I am also not worried. Which is why I couldn't watch the doom reporting tonight.
Thanks for posting that, BV — went straight to my “saved” file.
As a “hopeful” pessimist I’m with Maddow on this. We’ll see. Lawrence proved her (and everyone who knows “Justice delayed”) point when he stated “the Court USED to go fast, but not this one.”
Yes, we all must vote OVERWHELMINGLY to defeat Trump yet again. But as Maddow said, US v Nixon/the Ford pardon already makes clear that both immunity AND the Court’s cravenness is “bull puckey.”
VOTE.
@Bliss @n8evans @Bix @InUnfunky That they had this panel shit going on on MSNBC tonight deterred me. I only wanted to hear Lawrence. Not sure I will filter through it, but, right on.
