neither of us are wrong or right because we dont know the circumstances diminishing his signal. in your environment signal boosters dont work, that's not the case for everyone.

And that's coming from my 46 yrs of experience in both radio, IP/VoIP Telephony😌

@Bliss @amarand I'd say both of you are likely right here. It's an apartment building, I'm on the second floor. The walls have steel in them from what I understand? We are in a very tight dip in, and I wouldn't say it's mountainous, but definitely a very roughly and hilly area. My carrier is Koodo, I should have 5G signal strength but no matter where we are in the house, it's difficult to get a consistent signal. Half the time my chair in the living room gets a signal, half the time it doesn't.

I suggest you download WeBoost or OpenSignal 4G/5G app to analyze your signal inside your home and on your roof to test for your cell signal. If its -60 dBm or a higher number, an individual (personal) antena on the roof may not be the best solution.

The residents in my building chipped in & leased a commercial Antenna to serve everyone in the bldg. I also opted to have cable wifi. Despite that I still needed an indoor signal booster because my apt is 12 stories from roof.
