This town has sirens that go off at random times every day. Maybe not Sunday, I don’t remember if they go off on Sundays. It’s always a different time, I have seen no rhythm or reason, no pattern. It reminds me of the sirens the mines used to use to signal shift change when I was a kid.

the city or emergency branch of gov't usually publish in advance info about dates/times of regularly scheduled alarms. They also publish info on what their various emergency alarms sound like and what they mean. Check their web pages. I have seen some cities post audio clips of tgeir different alarms and sirens along with their meanings and how to respond to each including evacuation routes and downloadable maps for your emergency

Here are 3 different examples:
Hawaii, AZ's Maricopa County, Indian Point Nuclear Power plant 15 miles north of NYC.
