I disagree with NBC's characterization. The board members, who live in the district, own property and businesses there, chose to give Disney more power than DeSantis wanted for himself (after all, the new board are all friends and donors to DeSantis). So in the end, they went with a smarter more benevolent mouse as their 👑 leader than a tyrant.
