I think once musk realized how lucrative fleecing right wingers has become, he thought that was his meal ticket.
He didn’t want to buy in the first place
Was forced into it because he’s a dumbass and signed a contract
So in his panic decided right wingers and authoritarians were a winning strategy.
Then Meta undercut him in the market.
