So what exactly is the game plan when private insurance companies pull out of states like Florida?

Like what do home owners do when they buy a house and climate change destroys it and they can’t get insurance?

Shouldn’t the Republicans who run that state figure that out?

@BlastBunny I think the traditional solution (shitty tho it may be) is for the state to run its own risk pool--which is to say, socialized/subsidized insurance.

Now whether FL would do that, who knows?

@BlastBunny Why would they care? Their rich donors are the only people they care about. Those donors can afford to lose a house or two, so no worries!

@BlastBunny Take away the ability by mortgage companies to mandate home insurance.

It has turned into a sham money machine for insurance companies over the years.
