Texas, the land where gun laws are so lax a 4 time deported man was able to buy a gun with no documentation.

@BlastBunny I totally understand where you guys are coming from but I have to ask: Can you name one thing whose illegality makes it unobtainable? The felons in my former state all had guns, they aren't supposed to but somehow they just didn't care. Aren't we playing checkers in a chess game anyhow? Someone is going to drone attack in this country one day, no gun required.

@MidnightRider

Tanks, hellfire missiles, combat drones, full auto weapons.

I mean…quite a few things.

But if you’re arguing that laws don’t prevent people from doing stuff then you’re arguing we shouldn’t have laws in general.

@BlastBunny Am I? Buddy I'd like to see recidivism taken more seriously with predicate felons. When a judge frees a rapist and that individual rapes again the judge has zero culpability. PS If you think large weapons of war cannot be procured from nations who want $$ we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm sure Russia and Nk have a price. As for full auto weapons? A gunsmith who knows his craft can convert semi to full with many rifles.

Recidivism is an issue because we don’t actually try to rehabilitate criminals in our society, an overwhelming majority of crime is due to desperation. Judges only work on sentencing, not rehabilitation. It’s not the judges job to rehabilitate criminals.

And I’m not talking about war torn areas I’m talking regular people in the United States.

No Random citizen is buying military grade weaponry like missiles and tanks.
