You have a media group in this country owned by the wealthy that caters to a ideological group of people who routinely say that experts aren’t a valid source of information.
It’s why News orgs like NPR tend to have more educated followers, because they’re donation funded by listeners.

But also are pretty much the only media Org that has such a robust openness about how their funded. Like they release a list of corporate donors every year.
And the corporate donations barely exceed the listener donations.
So NPR has to be more unbiased or lose a metric fuck ton of cash.
