One of the things I really admire about the female Japanese bands is that the members all know each other, have often worked together, and are usually friendly. Americans - men and women - cannot often say that. First, because record contracts often get in the way, but even more so, their egos are just too big to set all the nonsense aside and be a team without "How much am I getting paid?" going on the whole time.
