For some reason I just thought of the Crips (Blue) and Bloods (Red) in terms of Democrats (Blue) and Republicans (Red)...carry on.
Same sort of divisive "Us and Them" structure. Crips vs Bloods is designed to divide the (mostly) Black and Hispanic communities so they don't pay attention to the legislation designed to exterminate them. Just like the Red vs Blue political party structure. Divide and Conquer. What's left over, they'll feast on, as Kings.
