@USAPatriot How can you tell???
@USAPatriot hopefully not an engine/intake gasket!
@Blackwolf could be. Being towed 200 Mi by morning. Yay AAA.
@USAPatriot sorry to hear...happened to me once, not a fun situation. But I walked into an engine class I was part of and found a replacement and basically took it with a nod from the teacher, and...new engine in car :)
@Blackwolf You're a bad@$$ just like my Hubs. He has gotten us into and out of some of the most appalling situs. This is cherry pie compared to the time we broke down trailoring a camper in the Grand Tetons. Love nature, so no problems but the waiting was a bummer, then towed back to Jackson Hole and awoke to him repairing the honey truck in parking lot of hotel. On to Carbondale, Colorado without a hitch in our git-along.
@USAPatriot Hopefully it's something like what you've experienced before...if it's a main bearing or gasket it's "trouble in River City"...good luck on the adventure! When I moved cross county in some boyfriend's car his main bearing broke...I left the car at a U-Haul and rented an empty 18 footer...bounced the rest of the way with the dog barfing in front seat lol. He was pissed I didn't want to fix his car...
@Blackwolf Main bearings are R&R knucklebusters requiring engine lift if I imagine correctly. Dog barf bouncing is vastly superior to hanging around for that fun.
@USAPatriot Ha! not sure about that but everyone is entertained differently :) :)
@Blackwolf Losing power, overheating, gravelly sound. Catalytic converter prolly clogged. Hubs can fix just about anything with the right tools. We have AAA tho, for backup. BBL!
