Anyone expecting/hoping for a recession soon will likely be disappointed.
The US economy is in good shape (despite lies about it).
Tax cut for the rich is stimulus.
Right-wing and corrupt money will flow in.
If tariffs cause a recession, it’ll take time, and this govt will probably cook the numbers.
@Bix while trying to time the stock market in “normal” conditions is difficult I anticipate boom and bust in the next four years. We’re picking targets for stock based accounts and once acquired move to safer vehicles (CDs, fixed annuities, …).
The operating environment may change so drastically that one may not much precedent to rely on than unfettered capitalism in power leads to boom and bust. The Fed, Social Security, financial regulation, et.al. are targeted. Tread carefully.
