That fuqqing asshole in the diner with that original post should be punched in the face any time he's in public...

🤬😡🤬😞😢💜

@Bix Her face as she relieves the entire trauma is heartbreaking. That guy should get skinned alive over a small fire.

@Bix

Mom's 1st preg in the 1950s ended in miscarriage. She wasn't able to expel everything. She got a DNC no problem. She didn't have to worry about sepsis. She was able to go on and have 5 kids.

HER mother, already the mother of many, needed a medically necessary abortion. The doctor told her without it she'd die and she needed to have it so she can live for her kids. She didn't want to do it, but she did. After she recovered from her medical emergency, she went on to have a bunch more.

My own miscarriage was early. I bled an incredible amount. I knew what my mom and her mom (who had also had a miscarriage) had gone though. So I did what she did. Went home and pushed and hoped everything came out. It was extraordinarily painful and I was weak from bloodloss, but I didn't go to the hospital. Kept an eye on my temperature. But I'd have gone in for a DNC if necessary, and, back then, I'd have been able to get one.

We've lost our OWN "right to life" here.

@Agatha @Bix
I was fortunate in pregnancies and childbirth. I suffered one miscarriage, but early in, before I ever knew I was pregnant. No physical complications.

My mother. My sister, and my dtr, all have suffered second trimester miscarriages, my dtr twice. Each time resulted in surgery for them each. My mother pre RvW, my sister and dtr, during. My dtr nearly bled to death each time. And the second time she had to drive an hour away after a few days before she could have it. So-

@CinnamonGirlE @Bix

It's INSANE the hoops we have to jump through. I'm glad they all made it through. This is not something the government should be making more difficult.

@Agatha @Bix
Glad you all have as well. I mean, it's one of the most traumatic times of your life. You are so upset, and heartbroken. And now these asshats want to make it worse. Those 2 days my dtr had to wait were horrific. I was terrified. And angry.

@CinnamonGirlE @Bix

He waited?? Was he just trying to be sure? My mom went to the ER and they handled it there and sent her home.

Mom's sister miscarried twins in the toilet (she didn't know that was going to happen). Heartbroken. Horrified.

@Agatha @Bix
At that time, she wasn't bleeding profusely. They wanted to send her home to allow it to occur naturally. The first time she hemorrhaged and they did emergency surgery. So when they wanted her to labor, she was left to scramble and anticipate another hemorrhage, until she could find someone willing to do the surgery.
I had your moms sisters scenario. Not twins though.

@CinnamonGirlE @Bix

That's obscene, especially considering she hemorrhaged once already. 😡

WHY are we expected to suffer just because it's something related to pregnancy/childbirth? Whether it's being told "real" women don't get epidurals or that we need to be half dead before they'll remove the literally dead fetus from us. It's cruel. (Yeah, remnants of religious bs.)

@Agatha @Bix
One of the nurses encouraged her to labor the second time. Asked her didn't she want to hold her baby? My dtr told her that wasnt her baby; that her baby was gone. I thought that was especially heinous.

@CinnamonGirlE @Bix

I know everyone is different. Some would want to hold it. But, no, it's not for all of us. Not for me.

@Agatha @Bix
True. They are. But she shouldn't have pushed it. Which she kind of did. It wouldn't be for me either.

@CinnamonGirlE @Bix

Absolutely should not be pushed. Make it an option and drop it.

@Bix
I honestly think I would smack him if he said that in front of me. 😡 his smug little super tanned crispy self.

@Bix
Having been through a miscarriage in between two thankfully healthy pregnancies, I can confirm that you bleed. A lot. And these asswipes are blurring the boundaries between miscarriage and abortion, and yes, it is health care, and yes, it is quite possible for women to bleed out or suffer in other ways.

@janallmac @Bix
Yes, just because they don't die, doesn't mean they don't lose reproductive capabilities, or suffer other issues.

Abortion is healthcare.

And to anyone who says "I don't want them to use it for birth control" 🙄
I have 2 words: education and contraception

@CinnamonGirlE @Bix
I do think some of the people who are saying this sort of thing are incredibly ignorant of how pregnancy and miscarriage work. Plus there are elements of our society who just plain hate women, especially women who have sex, so you get colossal ignorance + a simmering undercurrent of hatred, and here we are. And of course doctors are afraid of being criminalized now, too. It's so messed up.

@janallmac @Bix
Absolutely all of those things. I completely agree. And then you mix religion with it, and wow. It's off to the races. I want to cry/scream with frustration.

@Bix The fact that he can sit there smugly eating so casually while dismissing human suffering.

@Bix I can't help but LOVE how utterly stupid, I mean drooling on their own feet STOOOOPID these magats are! They are making this easier and easier!

@Bix

Off the top of my head I can think of three women in Texas who have nearly died in similar ways. One of whom was literally told they could only help her after she passed out. She went to her car, in the parking lot of the hospital, and bled until she was unconscious--and her husband took her inside.

And I don't pay much attention to the news.

So yes, LITERALLY bleeding out in parking lots.
