My sister went to pick up our mom today at the retirement home and mom was not in her room and no one could find her.
She called me in a panic cuz that isn’t like mom at all to not be ready, waiting by the entrance, knowing she was coming.
I was just pulling up the tracking app on my phone when she was found by the staff.
She was hanging out with friends and “lost track of time.”
My relieved sister did joke that “like that excuse worked when we were teens.”
Mom busted.

@realDDGlover But its great that she has friends where she lives, I know some people whose parents are not able to do that and its so hard for all. And yes, I would have panicked if my Mom wasn’t where I expected her to be, in fact, I did more than once.

So true. And we know that we are so lucky that she, at 87, is happy and healthy, and having the time of her life in this retirement home.
