I will NEVER understand the "need" for people to carry, openly or concealed, a weapon for their "protection."

In my nearly 50 years, even with social anxiety, I've never felt so threatened by other people to carry a weapon.

*(Subject to change in case of zombie apocalypse.)

IMHO, people who carry weapons around look more afraid than brave. It's not a very "alpha look," if that's what those people think they're portraying.

Now, walking bravely in public completely nude, THAT's Alpha! LOL

@Astartiel I asked a co-worker who is very knowledgeable electrical to help me. He is from a small town where open carry is very common but I live in the city so when he showed up with a gun on his side I politely asked him to put it in his car or lock it up in my garage. He looked at me like I had two heads then I explained that number one the city I live in has almost 0 crime and two my family didn't feel comfortable with a Yosemite Sam looking fool carrying a gun while working in my house.

@Astartiel it really depends on where you live. When I live in red neck counties, I definitely conceal. But emphasis on the *Conceal* part. I never really feel the need to cart in cities. The only place I run into violence-happy assholes is in the stix. I’m also licences with training, both private and provided by the state I worked for. I also support strict gun ownership laws, red flags, recertification, limits and bans on certain functions and calibers, etc. 🤘🏼
