we have a major event tmrw. i booked 3 hrs for my team to prep yesterday. i asked them to put together everything on the check list in our board rm so we would have everything ready to pack today.
i gave them specific things that needed to be put together. the rest is in drawers & closets. all they did was put together what i gave them. didn't pull any other items even tho they had the list & know where things are.
so guess who's gotta do pretty much all the prep & pack today?

it's nothing i haven't done before when things are quite tight. but this time i planned w/ the team. we're small so we have to plan to get their time on things that fall outside our normal work. an event is outside normal work.
but outside of micro managing this process, i'm at a loss. they knew what to do. they just didn't bother taking the initiative.
i feel like crying. but i have a donor mtg in 5 mins.
& the crying is just sheer frustration. b/c they know how to prep for events.
