I'd call the police only because I would't be armed. That might cause a dangerous delay, but I don't want to add to the body count if there is a real threat out there.

@Armchaircouch We don’t actually have cops in town right now. If I called the cops, it would take at least an hour (probably longer) for one to get here. So I’d ask a few questions through the window, and then open the door.

that factor occurred to me as people were voting, in some places calling the cops would really not help!

In my case, I have a vantage point, that I could look at them while they’re at my door and if somebody was chasing them I’d easily be able to knock them out with a very heavy object.

I would jump out of my skin, though if somebody suddenly was pounding at my door! EF THAT 😂😂 @misslovelymess

@Armchaircouch I lived in a duplex, in the middle of nowhere, and I heard some commotion. Bad stuff. I hunched down, looked out the window, and a truckload of guys with baseball bats were beating the snot out of my neighbors. I called the landlord and within five minutes, there was an entire calvary. I was scared.

@Armchaircouch Yes they were ultimately ok. And then almost immediately evicted.

@Armchaircouch The way I see it, if I try to do something to help someone, and they turn around and try to harm me, that's on them. My conscience is clear. Glad nobody's choosing the No option.
